I had my first 9oz cup of actual coke in over a year. Sometimes i just get this craving for a little bit of soda and after a workout i feel pretty good with that sugar in me. I know guys who worked construction and worked out, hard, at the gym afterward who literally ate mcdonalds for breakfast and lunch everyday and drank fucken soda all the time and were in amazing shape. My battle buddy from bct was such a man. You can make shitty foods work for you, but none of them would recommend that life style for your whole life.
