My thoughts exactly. I got my ears raped by bad metal once when CoB, LoG, and Mastodon opened for Slayer, I will not have it happen again.

Yeah I hear you... but it was worth it! Frankly I can't think of an opening act I actually enjoyed. Whatever... if there is a good group at this Ozzfest and I can go then I will... otherwise forget it.

I doubt I would go even for free. I didn't go in 2002 when they had Meshuggah, which is my favorite band. Since this year is free, if there is 1 band I like, which I doubt, I might go for that one band's set then leave.

I dont care what they did to Maiden actually however I'm not going to Ozzfest because I know it's going to have another line up of mallcore bands for HIV infected faggots that think Lamb of God means underground death metal.

same here...unfortunately, my friends like that crap and will offer to take me to that crapshoot and torture me for 8 hours but wont dare go out of their way to take me to a good metal or punk concert in Cleveland or Pittsburgh. (I'm not legally allowed to own a car or license in the state of Ohio and don't make enough money to move away, so I'm at the mercy of my friends. they don't want to go = I don't get to go) this is the reason I rarely go to concerts.
