P90X is pretty good, if you need a 100% strict workout plan. because it's so strict, following it gives pretty much guaranteed results.
however, if you don't want to be told when to shit and how hard to push, a healthy high protein diet followed by regular work outs, incorporated into your lifestyle is unbeatable.
i'm sure they address it in the DVDs, but the main problem with P90X is after the 90 days, that's when the real workout starts.
