Erik, and others, you simply must hear more KRISIUN. Especially the latest, Bloodshed, sheer thrashing death terror, as the title of the thread suggests.

I'm sure some there's gonna be some spongelike lifeform that will crawl out from under its rock and claim KRISIUN is nothing but speed.

Well on first listen I made it through 23 tracks, the entire CD1 and two song on CD2, and then that was enough death metal for now, time to listen to wimpy shit to make up for it :boggle:

Windows Media Audio, the format you posted it in... It's pretty shitty and proprietary/difficult for me to use as opposed to MP3 and OGG and such, but eh, it worked well enough for this purpose I guess, I got to hear the song...

Understandable. It might be a bit hard to listen to too much extreme stuff in one listening session, especially for people who are beginners to the genre. Hopefully there are some tracks that caught your attention in the good way, you SHOULD like Monstrosity, Vader, Autopsy, Prostitute Disfigurement (bar the vocals, perhaps), Dies Irae, Defleshed, Insision, Aeternus, Morbid Angel, Blood Red Throne, Incantation, Obituary, Suffocation, Immolation and Vomitory.

Yeah, Prostitute Disfigurement vocals were shitty, I thought so within about 0.4 seconds when the guy opened his mouth. Monstrosity, Insision, Vader, etc was pretty cool. Nile kicked ass, but I knew that already. I <3 Nile.

If you can use some program to rip to MP3 instead of WMA that is preferable, (I would guess maybe Nero comes with an MP3 encoder? I don't know, I never really used it) but I'm really fine either way because you only upload a few songs occasionally...


HM: No, I like Nile, I find that they have an atmosphere a lot of other DM lacks, they were awesome live in the middle of the dark night at Wacken. I haven't heard a whole lot but songs like "Unas, Slayer of the Gods" and "Black Seeds of Vengeance" KILL me.

I don't know, I upload a lot to other boards and no one has ever brought this to my attention as a problem.... When I burn cds, I use nero and it takes the files that I ripped using media player and everything's fine...

Yeah, forget it then, it's just that I use Linux, and as you might figure out from the name Windows Media Audio isn't very friendly to other operating systems. I can still play them, just not in my preferred media player.

Gotcha. I will think of you when uplaoding on here and try to correct that. :Spin:
