Paradise lost cd packaging

Yep very cool, good to see inside out doing a bit more than a cardboard sleve over the jewl case for the lads :kickass:

holy shit, that is one of the coolest digipaks I've ever seen :kickass: I agree with Zach on the packaging issue.

@SymX_AUS...why are you acting like someone stole your milk money? :p

hahaha. I just dont like it...Why are people acting like someone gave them milk money? j/k...I guess I'm trying to hold on to the Symphony X of the ninties...imo the albums since 2000 have lacked something that i just cant put my finger on......

The Miller/Romeo writing duo perhaps.

It's pretty cool I suppose, but it just kinda feels like they're trying to be mainstream too hard. Hard to believe they'd bother with something like this. The "badass" factor is very high here...the artwork, the package design, the music itself. There's nothing wrong with that, but I don't feel like we're any better than when you had to import Divine Wings in a regular ole' case. Which brings me to my next point.

The only thing about case designs is that I like conformity. If I'm going to actually buy all the stuff (and I do), I'd like it to at least look impressive on a shelf, which is the only place an actual disc is going to be for an eternity starting the day after I buy it. With SX, you have the regular old CD cases (V), the dinky paper/cardboard re-releases (Twilight, Wings), and then on top of that the Odyssey SE with the extra song, a regular case with a sleeve over it. Already you have three different types of cases in a band with five albums. And now they're doing this insane PL stuff. I'd honestly prefer they just pick a case style and stick with it, even if it is regular.

It's really not that big a deal. Considering what they're going for with Paradise Lost, it's actually perfect for the album. I don't think it'd have worked well with any of their other CDs...which should say something.

Oh man there's really not much to talk about other than packaging until the album is actually released, is there? Mind you, I appreciate nice packaging, I'm buying the cd as a whole, not just the disc.

Did anyone else see a resembelance between the fully unfolded packaging, and the giant flying spaghetti monster on the left hand side of the cover art?
