oh and screw the canucks lol! Canada is no differ' than the other metal loving countries, I mean we have Quebec which despite what some queers think is the metal capital of canada! All the major metal fests are held in quebec city, bands from, all over hellz acres attend. Than we also have some fairly good metal bands comming out of the country in general! Not that it makes us any better, just saying that we do have a large population, and large amount of metal heads!

Awwwwwwww, is Proulxski unhappy? First off, I love Canada. Been there quite a few times, clean air, great fishing. Probably some of the best on this continent. The people are MOSTLY friendly too. HOWEVER, you don't live here, and call our leaders what you want, but the US is far from a shithole.
Fucking Quebec can't even figure out if it wants to be part of Canada or not, yet you want unify in stats for the entire continent? Give me a fucking break.
I'm sure there are sales stats in Canada. YOU live there, perhaps YOU should look them up and post them here. Figure out whether or not your province wants it's independence, and while your at it, tighten your fucking borders too! Let's not even get into discussing what this "shithole" here does economically, as well as militarily for your sorry ass country. Perhaps the populous in Quebec should jump in a boat or plane, & go back to France. See how easy & unfair it can be to bash another country? Both places have their "shitholes" but if you want to get into nation bashing, come on out, & bark up this tree. Always remember that your country & mine ARE allies, like it or not.....

unfortunately not a lot happens in western Canada in terms of metal shows. Gigantour came here but thats about the only thing I was interested in, and only cuz of DT and Nevermore( SX didn't even come to the Vancouver gigantour show :/). Didn't get to go though. and like I said, I have to drive for like 4 hours to Seattle to see SX instead of just hoping a ferry over to vancouver.

I LOVE Montana too! Been a LONG time since I spent any time there. I'm an outdoorsy dude, and while I don't hunt anymore, I still respect those who do.
(but I HATE hunt clubs, and exotic, shipped in, hunts. That's a WHOLE other topic that I will stay away from, as I have some VERY strong views on that subject matter.) I'll take the wilds over big city life ANYTIME!

All i'm going to say to proulxski is that americans can generally form a coherent sentence with decent spelling. Most of the french canadians on this board (minus mr fast) basically have spelling and grammar at the kindergarten level. And i know you probably speak french, but you're surrounded by goddamned english speaking territories... you'd think you would pick up something by osmosis.

Yeah, I'm not actually a hunter myself (most of my friends are though) so I don't know how valid my opinion is on this.....but all the hunt club/guided hunting tours are just ways of dumbing down and turning hunting into some pussy activity that you don't even have to get dirty on. Most of the guys I know are very dedicated to it, and most of them split they're hunting 50/50 between bow and rifle. Even those of us who don't hunt love deer season....which actually translates to Elk Steaks (mmmmmmmm). Where all in MT have you been?

I have never had an Elk steak, but I have eaten PLENTY of venison. (steaks, burgers, roasts, etc.) I "heart" BBQ'ed venison jerky too! I have been to Montana as a youngun driving through & spending time in the northern strip of Yellowstone on the way to my relatives in Washington state, cool family vacation that year, we were like everywhere between Washington & Arizona. How my folks put up w/me for that long is still a mystery. I did some IT work in Helena back in the mid to late 80's for a company I worked for back then. I was there for a week,iirc. It is definately cool country up there. Not good for mall brats, and people who like strip malls on every corner.....

We have a friend of the family who got a good sized black bear on a bow hunt this year. Unfortunately, he had his calendar dates screwed up and got it a few days before black bear season so now he can't get tags (or a fishing license) for a year. I'm from Great falls, so it's one of the more "built up" places. There is enough to do in town as far as shopping, entertainment etc..., but it's also not more than a 30 minute drive to be completely out of sight of civilization if that's what you're looking for. I love the 4 hour drives between big cities where there's nothing around in either direction but mountains, canyons, rivers, etc.
Elk steak is where it's at man. A lot of people (including me) think this is weird as shit when they first hear it....but the best way to eat it is to marinade it (starting in the morning the day before you eat 'em) in a 50/50 mixture of milk and itallian salad dressing. I had a mixed reaction of "LOL WUT" and "WTF?" when I first heard it, but trust me...give it a try if you ever happen to be eating elk steaks
