Parts in songs that send shivers down your spine.

A few off the top of my head:

Coroner - Serpent Moves (solo section)
Slayer - Read Between The Lies ("You may believe it but SATAN WOULDN'T LIE")
Coprofago - Time Zero (When the first verse kicks in with a Rrroooaaaaahhhhrr
Black Sabbath - Killing Yourself To Live (chorus)

That short bass-line at around 3:24 on Gordian Knot's Singing Deep Mountain.

Yes! I was just coming into this thread to mention Gordian Knot, as they are the definition of chill-inducing music. In addition to the part you mentioned, I'll add Ron Jarzombek's outro solo in Rivers Dancing. Incredible.

Now on top of my head is in Guttural Secrete's Reek of Pubescent Despoilment song this 4 second riff from 1:50 to 1:54.

vital signs - august burns red
pull harder on the strings of your martyr - trivium
i fucking hate you - godsmack
the blister exists - slipknot

In Icon of Malice by Capharnaum, that part where he starts screaming 'IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIICOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOON.....ICON OF MALICE..' I love that guitar riff, too.

Will we ever meet again...?

...NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
(Twilight by Edge of Sanity in case it wasn't obvious)

At the same time I found it hilarious.

The part in Jesus Cries where it sounds like the guitarist is in agony doing background vocals like if he was jesus being crucified sends me chills sometimes.

and same goes for it also making me laugh.

'Morbid acceleration fuels my senses againt my will...' - Fury Unleashed by Visceral Bleeding.

Not so much shivers in the spine as a huge, really satisfying rush in the blood.

If you want chills then you need to go to the kings of coldness!

The beginning riff of Transilvanian Hunger.

Hell the whole song.

Hell the whole fucking album.

The melodic sweep in the title track of And Justice for All(1:41-1:51, 8:53-9:07). Basically, the entire primary melody of this song.
It evokes so many memories and feelings. Absolutely amazing. One of my favorite moments in music.

The middle section of Helloween's Mission Motherland!!

Well, to each their own, I guess. :p
This was one of the songs thar made me reassess where I stand on Metallica. Definitely my favorite track from the album along with Blackened, Eye of the Beholder and One.
