you know a song is REALLY good when you get shivers down your spine and you want to go nuts and headbang in the middle of a chav filled street

i want to know which songs do that for you.

off the top of my head atm its devil driver - hold back the day

stuck mojo - metal is dead

and arch enemy - rise of the tyrant

Just off the top of my head

"Immortal Rites" by Morbid Angel
"Transilvanian Hunger" by Darkthrone
"Synaptic Plasticity" by Blotted Science
"Procession Of The Dead Clowns" by Blut Aus Nord

Yeah...

Dante's Inferno-Iced Earth

Especially the end where it goes LUCIFER ANGEL OF LIGHT and that whole part.

Mercyful Fate - Satan's Fall

especially when KD does that part
"Use your demon eyes, uncover the disguise
Time is out... YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH, I don't need your god"

Nevermore - Dead Heart in a Dead World
Averse Sefira - Battle's Clarion
Vintersorg - Isjungfrun
Zero Hour - Eyes of Denial

Probably more.

Kiuas- And the North Star Cried

The lines:

"And her tears fell upon the earth..."

and the final verse:

"Our fathers' blood was spilled on the ice
And the North Star cried in the night."

Both give me chills. That song is one of the most emotionally charged and heartbreaking songs I've ever heard.

To name a few.
Zyklon - Psyklon Aeon
Naglfar - Odium Generis Humani
Marduk - Perish in Flames, Panzer Division Marduk, Dark Endless
Dimmu Borgir - Kings of the Carnival Creation

For emotion and atmosphere, you have to be going some to beat

My Dying Bride - The Dreadful Hours.

Fucking hell, that song is unbelievably sad on an epic scale.

Too many to list, but these are a few that are really owning my soul:

Averse Sefira - Serpent Recoil
Blacklodge - Angels Refinery
Blut Aus Nord - Our Blessed Frozen Cells (last riff)

Yeah but the end "Our Blessed Frozen Cells" is on par with the final track, even though it ripped off a Jimi Hendrix riff.

hhhmm, probably happend with more songs until i listened to them to much.

off the top of my head though the solo in Vital Remains' Dechristianize, Arkhon Infaustus' Dead Cunt Maniac (the part in the begining where they use all the pinch harmonics) and La Particule De Dieu ( the part where the song starts to get faster)

I see that someone has an avatar of the latest AI! Well done mate!

There are many songs that send a shiver down my spine but I recall one special:

Arkhon Infaustus - M33 Constellation
