Parts in songs that send shivers down your spine.

Amon Amarth - Arson and Fate of Norns. Listening to those two songs just puts me on another planet lol.

Stratovarius~ Liberty..the guitar itself doing the main melody!!!

Even though the song has the melody scheme to Guardians...Liberty still kicks ass!!

The melodic sweep in the title track of And Justice for All(1:41-1:51, 8:53-9:07). Basically, the entire primary melody of this song.
It evokes so many memories and feelings. Absolutely amazing. One of my favorite moments in music.

That whole song is solid, in all honesty. Hell, the whole album is Metallica's greatest work.

As for SBS and Master of Reality: :kickass:

Yes! I was just coming into this thread to mention Gordian Knot, as they are the definition of chill-inducing music. In addition to the part you mentioned, I'll add Ron Jarzombek's outro solo in Rivers Dancing. Incredible.

Dude, THAT solo is the probably the greatest I've heard. FUCKING EPIC!!!

Sadly I haven't experienced this in ages, the songs that used to do it I've kinda worn out.

at 3:09

Eh. It's been so long that that is all I can think of.

Nasheim - Undergang (0:37 where the song kind of "kicks off") Bad sound on this clip but only one i found on youtube.

Behemoth - Inner Sanctum - the "breakdown" after the first chorus:OMG:

...

the first chugga-chugga riff of The Serpentine Offering:OMG:
(yeah noobish but it's what sold me into "black metal")

...

Draconian - Death Come Near Me - the dual clean vocals part

...

Iced Earth - Come What May - the "special" verse after the instrumental

The last time he sings "to thee i give a ring of goooold", at the very end when the thunder sounds is awesome too.

04:37 into Black Sabbath, when you've listened to that slow gloomy riff over and over again and the tremolo riff starts. It's only that fucking good when you've listened to the whole song up to it, the riff before enchances it.

Second and third riffs into Demilich's Sixteenth Son.. are the very essence of what i like with Demilich, unbelievable, both the music and the rythm of the vocals.

The chorus vocal melody in Vintersorg's Under Månskenets Fallande Ljusspel

this. I was listening to that about 5 min ago and thinking the EXACT same thing.

The part in Valhalla live when the whole fucking crowd sings the chorus after the song is done.

Also same with the chorus in the studio version. Hell the whole fucking song.

Also The Bard's Song live, when the crowd sings the whole song.
Words can't even describe how great of a moment that is.

They really need to do a US tour.

The very ending of ...And The Psychic Saw, just after and including 'To pull the curtain for the whole world to see.'

I'm also partial to the ultra froggy breakdown at the 2 minute mark of Wormed's Geodesic Dome.

How a human is making those sounds... I dont even need to know. =]
