Pelagic/Oceanic Metal?

Dagon's lyrical content is all about the ocean and sharks and shit, and they have a song called Ocean Metal. Can't get more "ocean metal" than that dude.

Clearly bands who force the mental imagery on you with pictures or actually using words like sea, ocean, tide, etc. have made an effect on you guise.

Maybe the bands themselves are trying to evoke ocean imagery and thus title their albums/songs using such terms.

Just a thought.

I can't believe noone has mentioned these two ocean albums:

On Thorns I lay - Orama

Nothing catches the ocean "underwater" feeling like this album.

Korovakills - Waterhells

Another ocean concept album

Aw, Waterhells, I was sad when Korova became Korovakill.

I was too busy last night to get these but I am grateful for all these recommendations and will eventually come back and express my gratitude.

I'm glad I don't have to explain the concept of "oceanic metal," it is a pain trying to convey the idea to people who don't get it.

Haha at the concept of explaining "ocean metal" to others.

It's less "haha" and more "siiiiigggghhhh" when it happens.

I will try and check some of these out tonight if I have a chance. I'm getting most excited about the VLE. Definitely had never heard of them before!

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for all these suggestions. Especially Ahab and On Thorns I Lay and VLE. But I really appreciate all the help. Expanding my mental universe, yes!
