People who vote for Bush should be deported

My favorite moments from the debate:

When Bush referred to Al-Queda as a "group of folks".

When Bush said to Kerry, "You forgot Poland."

So every poll I've seen this morning shows that Kerry won the debate by quite a margin. Out of 20 undecided voters that CNN had on a panel, 18 went with Kerry.

I guess I understand why people would want to maintain their party alliance, but even any level headed Republican could surely see that Bush was simply outclassed last night?

My personal favorite:

When Kerry said to Bush:

"I have no intention of wilting. I've never wilted in my life. And I've never wavered in my life."

That means Kerry will win the election!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm not sure what the debate results mean -- but at least my faith is restored somewhat in an American audience being able to distinguish between two individuals arguing in a debate. Political beliefs set aside, Kerry was the clear cut winner in the debate, and that means a lot when deciding who you want representing this country.

Also, Kerry definetelly came across as more of a "softy" ... not something that comes across well with middle America ... fortunatelly I don't think many of them go out voting (or do they?)
I'm not so sure that's completely true. Kerry and Edwards have made it a point, when referring to terrorists, to speak in the harshest of terms. Kerry, has repeatedly said, "we will hunt down and kill". Not typical Democrat speak.

I heard someone on the radio talk about the 1980 election. He said, even with all that was wrong with the nation, Carter still had a huge lead going into the debates. Reagan had been painted as someone incapable of leading the nation. However, when the nation got a look at Reagan, and saw that he wasn't nuts or a wimp, he won big. I'm hopefull that this election will take a similar turn.

I'm not sure which scares me more; Bush free to run wild in a 2nd term or living in a country amongst people that would grant Bush a 2nd term.

No argument about who won the debate, but a poll result on CNN of all places showing so many votes in favor of Kerry is to be expected. On Fox News, the split was 50/50 in lieu of 25/75. CNN has a large Liberal audience and Fox has a large Conservative audience. Now, I'm not saying I don't trust my own eyes and ears, as Kerry clearly was the better speaker last night, but I am saying I will never place value in a poll from sources with such clear cut divided audiences.

You know, it's good to see a Bush supporter admit that Bush didn't do so well in the debate. In some of the post-debate discussion, it's clear that some Bush campaign supporters think the man walks on water. Again, I think it would be so much more intellectually stimulating if people could just discuss the debate objectively, and leave their political bias aside. Yeah right, and pigs will fly when hell freezes over.

You know, you could see a debate on whether smoking is good for your health or not, and no matter how strongly one feels about the health concerns with smoking, the pro-smoker could still win the debate just through better debate tactics and simple eloquence. This is the art of debate!

It seems like the debates will target swing voters more than anyone else. I wonder how many existing Bush supporters would 'flip flop' over to Kerry and vice versa as a result of these debates?

Also, Fox being pro-conservative -- no doubt about it. But CNN being pro-liberal? I dunno man...I mean, I compare both those news outlets to, say, BBC America at 7pm each night on PBS, and both seem absurdly neo-conservative in comparison.

LOL, well the BBC is a whole different story, and I agree they're right up there with the most liberal outlets around, certainly to a greater degree than CNN. However, as I generally follow the U.S. major news outlets, I find CNN leans much more towards the left than right. Just seems that way.

Sure, I agree with that. But I do like the Public Networks for the reason that I get the BBC, and since I have cable, I also get EuroNews and HBO.

HBO is remarkably left-wing in it's documentaries and so forth ("Death in Gaza" for example is the first time I've seen anything on American tv that looks at the Palestinian confrontation from a non-Israeli standpoint), and of course they picked up Bill Maher's "Politically Incorrect" after he was fired from ABC.

Hey man, the conservatives got smart, whats better than having a entire news organization devoted to republican spin? They are a clever bunch, if I didnt disagree with them so much, I would be prone to vote for them just on the basis of political cunning.

i saw the 50/50 split on foxnews.com also ... but there were only about 3000 votes in either direction at the time as opposed to around 400,000 on CNN .... does that mean that republicas do not surf the web ... or just they don't care to vote?
