PERIPHERY Icarus Lives Video Premiere

So much unwarranted hype and the crabcore thrown in is just.. wtf?

This is the new Attack Attack.

Shittons of people must be all over this b/c the page won't load for me.

3 horns and like 5 comments.. i don't think shit tons of people are all over anything. it's just a slow loading page for whatever reason.

And this is crabcore how? I thought crabcore had running in place, techno mashups, scene jeans and an abandoned house.

What's really funny is to see all the people swinging on their nuts at the sevenstring.org forum .

Yeah.. the only real explanation is that sevenstring.org has a lot of young members looking for "the brootz" mixed with some trendy pop singing.Ya know, something they can show their highschool friends without feeling weird.

Which is part of the reason why I stick to real death metal. Keeps those kinds of douchebags away.

I think the video is cool, has a nice aesthetic to it, although they should break the glass at some important moment in the song... at least i was waiting for that to happen.

I had to use my mom's laptop to check it out, but I thought it was a pretty cool video, really. I like that they kept things obscure with the water stuff, and it fits their artwork theme perfectly. If anyone needs to see their faces they can go to their myspace or something. No big deal. I thought it was cool.

EDIT: If what they're doing in the video can now fall into the crabcore category, then nothing is safe from it. Too broad a brush the crabcore name seems to paint with. Next we'll see Alex Webster spreading his feet apart and start windmilling and and someone is going to cry crabcore.

That was one of the worst videos I've ever seen. Love the band, but fuck seriously?!?! At least the "glass" should of been broken at some point in the song and actually show the band like someone said above...

urgh.

This is the new Attack Attack.

Except with talent and a vocalist about as charismatic and interesting as a block of wood.

Anyway, I dig the whole aesthetic of having their faces obscured by the glass and the water and stuff, it's a cool idea, the execution's not really doing much for me but anything's better than yet another video of a vocalist pretending to be angry at a camera.
