First, I am not aiming to nail that Periphery tone, just doing this for fun. What do you gurus think?

You are one tight as fuck guitar player! Mix sounds pretty good but I would turn down the snare and the overheads. Personal preference stuff, more click in the kick drum, more grit in the bass, and the guitars sound a little thin so maybe a slight boost around 1khz or so. What did you use for the guitar tone?

Slightly altered version. I think I cranked the compression way too high on this one.

The kick is wayyyyy too boomy. High pass more.

Needs a bass.

But nice playing, sounds perfect!

agreed on the tight playing, holy shit man. bass would make this mix IMO, although the snare at the beginning is a little annoying so I would lower the velocities or something
