Updated mix: Icarus test

Well we all know this is such a fun song to hear and play
so i dwelled around the forum and found that someone
did cover this one but nothing on the thread would work (straight 404s)

So i felt like laying down some tracks and gave it a try. Used Drop D tuning
sounds cool, i'm not used to play below that.

This is pretty cool. I might try this one later. I'm digging the new key too. Way more sing along-friendly haha, the original key is just crazy.
But you destroyed the mix with the limiting, ease up on that one. The playing could've been a bit tighter, especially the intro and that little straight eights riff just before the first verse, just wished you would've gradually loosened the palm mutes there.

i used a schecter tempest, and Ibanez rg320. The bass is Ltd B.104

^_^! In S2.0 i just set up the whole mixer with the "NiceAndDry" thingy.
After that, HP the kick in @ 500hz. [Used the Avatar N.Y sounds]

Then used Slate samples only on kick and snare, blending them with the stock
ones from S2.0! Added a little DrumRoom verb and that was it :Spin:

Wow! I think you could make it a bit more Beefy overall, drums sound a bit too thin!

What are you using for your drum track first off? you could always use your Eq, and compression to get where you want. Also blending samples could help a lot :Spin:

I use Superior Drummer with AL Avatar Samples.
