the guitar tone is awesome, whats the chain? mix got good clarity but still got a nice bass response, good job. only thing i dont like with it is the snare tone

I used TS808, Lecto and ryans impulses for the guitars. Then some minor eq'ing, I think a boost around 8k and a HP/LP at around 60/11.5k. Yeah, I'm struggling wih the snare. Not using any samples on it.

Your drums sound very muddy. Can't really hear the snare at all. Seems as the snare and cymbals are fighting for the same frequencies at times or maybe the cymbals are too loud. Guitars seems maybe a tad overgained and you should probably cut some mid/highmid from them also.
What drums are you using? And what did you use for guitars?

Want me to redo it? Turn off ur master chain, and ill gladly do it again.
Also, if you want, send me ur amped guitars and I think if we mix my drums/clean tone and your distorted guitars, this will be /thread. haha
 
Yeah, sorry about that, I actually had a limiter and a clipper on the master to get some volume. But I don't consider that as mastering, but yeah, not totally unmastered.
Thanks for the offer about mastering but I need to learn some mastering myself so I won't upload an "unmastered" version, unless you really want to master it. Then I'll upload it!

No offence but I really don't like the sound of just SSD. It sounds good if you add slate samples to real drums and then process them so they doesn't sound completely like every other drummix out there. Otherwise it's kinda boring and generic, to me.
But yeah, if you want the guitartracks I'll upload them. No problemo!

haha, i was thinking of doing you a favor, but for a straight crit on your mix, it's all good except the snare sounds a bit "cheap" to me. Like, a country western snare almost. Go for something with more of a transent and fat. :3
 
Sorry if I came off rude, wasn't my intention at all.
Yeah, the snare isn't how I want it to sound. Maybe i'll have to go with another one from dfhsto start with.
But I kinda like piccolo snares and other snares with high pitch and a little smaller/thinner.
