Anyone have any suggestions on how to get a bass tone similar to Type O Negative? I have a few pedals including the Boss Ds1 which I think Pete used. What plug ins would you recommend? Are there any software amp/cabs that you think would work well?

Posting here just to follow the thread. I love this band. I actually got luck two days ago into finding a similar kind of tones using chorus and stereolizers with some fuzzy/disto settings on guitars. I will try something with a bass when I can. I'm pretty sure he had chorus here and there as well.

The hot glue on the DS-1 is critical.

The bass on Type O's music was basically everything. If you listen to some of the albums the distortion guitars are just like a thin crisp on the surface of that magnificent wall of sound they created. Most of his bass tone definitely has chorus in, great picture up above ^^.

April 14th is always Type O Negative day, I miss them a lot!!
