Hey don't you guys rekon Peter is an absolute animal at guitar. He can play everything so perfectly every time. He's just a machine.

huh? it seemed to me as though peter had more live fuckups than mike.

btw, i'd really like to know who plays what parts on the albums, in terms of rhythm. does peter play everything on the left and mike the right (or the other way around) ?
i know that in many bands, the tighter player plays all (or most of) the rhythm tracks, i wonder what the case is with opeth...

lol, that post ^^^ reminded me of when peter fucked up when he played here. He accidentally stepped on one of his pedals, for like a split second, then he looks up and sort of goes "oh shit" and gives a blushing look. heh, pretty funny.

also, in Lamentations, did anyone notice Mike fucked up a single note in the beginning when playing Drapery?

Peter plays technically better but mikael has a better feeling.

Ahaha! no way. Mike is better technically and in feel. Mike is also the one
that come up with most of the leads and riffs. And the one who plays em.
Peter is the second guitarist. Comp guitar. And he plays solos of cuze.

Yeah I heard it!! :) That's a shame. That simple thing. If you want to hear a
guy that plays awesome guitar and without fuckups... Listen to Eric Johnson.
That guy is crazy. Ofcuze he can't be compared to Opeth!

What solos does Peter play besides the first one in Deliverance?

The first solo. :) Its a real cool solo.
Watch the D&D Making of documentary. You get to hear a lotta solos.

What solos does Peter play besides the first one in Deliverance?

The arpeggiated part in The Leper Affinity. The 2nd solo in White Cluster. Half the solos in The Funeral Portrait and most(if not all) of that last harmonized thing. Half of Epilogue, second solo in The Amen Corner etc. etc.

Really? I love that solo

I know, so do I! It's by far and away my favourite Lindgren solo (and yes, I DO know that he plays the first solo in Deliverance, which I think is waaaaay overrated on here).
I always thought the When solo was Mike, because it's so good, but having seen it live for myself, I can confirm it's all Lindgren :)

Dude that was at the Toronto show!!!
He smiled at me when he fucked up stepped on the pedal going on overdrive before he shoulve! I remember him smiling at me and me feeling 'YESSSSSS' like it happened a minute ago.... its just burned into my memory.

Classic Moment that I absolutely cherished!

And yes, I prefer Peter's solos to Akerfeldt's. I find them so much more memorable and flowy.

peter is very sure of his playing... mikael did a couple of mistakes on the lamentations dvd while peter made no mistakes...and the same thing was when i saw them live... mikael fucked up in the demon of the fall outro... but i think that the mistakes come because they are the typical mikael orgasm riffs...like on the lamentations drapery falls intro..

"Typical mikael orgasm riffs"...

hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha, that's funny!!!!

I can't imagine how it feel an Orgasm riff!!!!
