Phone suggestions?

Wow... I just checked: Even with the network that has the best coverage and therefore is the most expensive you can get a BlackBerry Bold 9700 for 250 and pay 25 per month for 1.000/1.000/1 (voice/texts/gb). That is with a 24 month contract.
But phone rates have always been quite low around here because there is quite some competition between networks going on...

My contact comes to end sometime near june I think. I'm really hoping I can finally find something to combine phone and iPod by then (I have an 80 gig classic completely filled and a Moto K1 as a phone). I really want them to start implementing SDXC cards soon!

As far as android based phones, I have had a Motorola Cliq XT, Droid X, and now I have a Droid2. Cliq XT was ok, and the Droid X was too big. So far I am really pleased with the D2, it does everything I can ask of it, battery life is good (considering I have the cpu overclocked), and the keyboard is functional.

So, before I commit, is there any reason I shouldn't be getting the HTC Legend?

I don't really need any of the features that a better processor and whatnot would be used for, and the Legend seems like a nice, sturdy, sleek way to get into the smartphone world without eating too much into my 2nd Distressor budget

I see your Nokia 1100 and raise you a 1998 Siemens C25, which my brother gave to me 9 years ago when he got a new phone. Still in full working condition and it has been dropped way more times than I could count:
