When I first saw the title on Still Life, I thought it might be an Othello reference, actually... but I WAS an English teacher, so...

Mmmm....not really. No. Othello is a black dude. He's moorish, and thus called "The Moor".

As far as I can tell, Still Life has no Iago, who to me is the whole reason to read or see Othello. If you haven't, you should definitely read it. Iago is maybe the best bad guy ever.

Still Life is honestly more like an opera, I think.
