Anyone see it? I thought it was fucking hilarious. and its actually getting good reviews by a lot of critics as well. it was a great movie, and a great soundtrack as well imo. Tenacious D rules. but just seeing what everyone else thinks...


also, i see them tonight in Camden. can't fucking wait.

exactly. ben stiller made sense, since he was executive producer or something like that. but tim robbins, that blew my fucking mind. i wasn't gonna say anything about it in case people didn't see it. but now that you mentioned it... he was fucking hilarious.

oh man, its so ridiculous. by any chance, can you remember the saying Jack says when they get to the top of the stairway and see the pick? it had something to do with "fuck" in it, but i can't remember what he said.

From what I heard - it completely bombed and only made 3 million opposed to the 15-20 they needed for the opening, so that is disappointing. They were in studio with Howard Stern and they were a blast he did a lot of promo for it, and even Howard was shocked it opened so poorly. Hopefully word of mouth will help pick it up a little bit.

i totally think this is definately going to be one of those movies where the number of people buying the DVD is going to outnumber the number of people that will see it in theaters

i saw it on the wednesday night it came out and i was shocked when i got to the theater. the theater i went to is a very popular and large one and there was a grand total of NINE PEOPLE at the showtime i went to.

but it was still an amazing movie. AND i get to see them at MSG friday

just got back from the show. all i have to say is... wow, that is one of the most impressive shows i've ever been to. they played almost 2 hours worth of material. the show, the songs, everything, was awesome. definately worth it. and the merch was pretty cheap as well.
