Pickup Height(for passives)

Hello. I was wondering what the proper height should be in my bridge pickup. I have a Dimarzio D Activator and right now its pretty high. I read that a nickle should be able to just fit in there. Is that for actives or passives? I had my guitar set up recently and right now the height equals to about two nickles stacked on top of each other. I'd appreciate any help.

It's really a matter of comfort, though with passives, having it too close diminishes sustain because of the stronger magnets - basically, I'd leave between 3 and 4 nickels space
