i'm not sure.
i just remember i once (upon a time) had a class, and the teacher told us about these gardens made (i think) in the 19th century.
they had these little tricks like water suddenly jumping out, mirrors to confuse you, labyrints etc. (a bit like our amusement parks i guess)
i just relate it to those drawings... because of the confusion/illusion game . i'm not sure if it's the same time area as illusion is something of all times i guess.
if someone knows about these gardens, let me know
