i suppose it depends on what kind of piercing you are going for - and who you feel comfortable with (male or female)
i went with V&V because they are members of the APP- and while they were a bit out of the way for me to get to, it was worth it for me. April did a great job
i got some of my ink at Psycho Tattoo - i would highly recommend Rob Thomas (don't laugh...think "Michael Bolton" and Office Space ), but i wasn't in the market for piercings when i was there, so i can not speak to their facilities in that arena.

I would be going for a nostril piercing first, possibly a monroe and eyebrow afterwards (depending on how easily it cures etc.). I've had some trouble with simple earpierces that went wrong (one has become a huge hole that nearly splits my ear into two lobes), so I want to be sure to go to a good piercer who can give me the right advice for the after-care...
