Not particuarly, no. The weather on that east coast is usually a bit milder than the west. lots of rain, scottish style, but a reasonably long and warm summer.

this city has no sun, its just constantly impenetrable clouds. try checking out chengdu on google map, it'll just be a huge ball of fog.
