I saw this on Tony Laureanos forum and have discovered a few awesome bands from people posting what bands they are currently listening to every couple weeks, so figured i'd try it at this forum and see if it catches.....

Gojira- "From Mars to Sirius" (One of the bands I recently discovered through someone else's playlists..... from France, kind of a cool Morbid Angel/Neurosis mix, one of my favorite bands now)

Hypocrisy - "Virus"

1349 - "Hellfire"

Terror Squad - "The Wild Stream of Eternal Sin" (Coolest Japanese band I've heard next to Sigh)

Eulogy - "Lesson in Fear" (my drummers old band, Florida death metal)

Khold - "Morke Gravers Kammer" (If Celtic Frost was a black metal band.....:) )

pestilence - consuming impulse
hatesphere - the sickness within
exodus - tempo of the damned
the haunted - made me do it
arch enemy - doomsday machine
nevermore - this godless endeavor

So is this where we show off the metal albums that we own?

hmmm...Kinda looks that way...:)

My listings just happen to be the Windows Media Player playlists on my computer at work. But those albums have always gotten heavy rotation.

The Top 5 in my recent playlist at the moment:

1.) Pain of Salvation - "Nihil Morari" great song off of a great album

2.) Opeth - "The Grand Conjuration" the transition from the verse to the chorus is brutal

3.) Deep Purple - "Burn" it's fuckin' Ritchie Blackmore

4.) The Corrs - "Breathless" I just love that chicks voice, plus she's pretty hot

5.) The Misfits - "Hollywood Babylon" that's just good stuff

My current rotation has some experimenting to see if I like these guys, and a classic or two..currently something like:
Frank Gambale: various tracks, getting into his crazy playing and cool fusion madness
Buckethead: various tracks, trying to see what the fuss is about.
Vince Neil-Exposed: Can't believe I missed this when it first came out.
Mastodon-Leviathon: The most original metal I've heard in years.
Nevermore-Enemies. Still their best album, and in my top ten of all time.
