If that's the sacrifice that has to be made for better music, I'll take it. Honestly, I liked that snare sound better anyway. Had more punch. So you wanna hear over-compressed guitars and snare drums and have the keyboards mixed down to hell again?
If Adrenaline Mob has any effect on things, I would think it would cause Russell to be less interested in doing aggressive metal songs with his "other" band too. Romeo writes the music though so it probably wouldn't matter.EyeballKid said:Maybe the album after next we'll get a few more of the proggy elements returning, but, especially with Russell's growing prominence in Adrenaline Mob, I think we've seen the last of full instrumentals.
Only time will tell.
Synthetic resurrection from the heart of hell...?
They should make an album about a band making an album.
Here's the catch: The band they're singing about is writing an album about a band writing an album.
I remember reading in the booklet that Lepond said something along the lines of being excited about King of Terrors, saying that it was going to kill live. I wonder why it isn't something they usually play.
Yeah, a lot of "hardcore fans" will always whine about anything a band does if it includes even the slightest deviation from the so-called classic sound of the band. It boggles the mind that this trend is present even among prog fans.
otherwise half the thread would of not been erased.
