please recommend some new music

mumblefood thank you. i know it's typical of people to say but i like all kinds of stuff. lately i have been listening to a lot of behold... the arctopus, and um my favorite all time bands are stuff like velvet underground, melt banana, ummm... nirvana... aphex twin... uhhh help me out here guys

The psyopus record is an interesting listen if you like DEP and Behold. Dunno if you know Watchtower who kinda started 'progressive metal' by playing their quirky brand of technical threash back in '89? Anyway, their second album 'Control and Resistance' sounds amazing even today.

Hm. Sleepytime Gorilla Museum are excellent too.

Sorry i took so long. I went out drinking and got very drunk. Unfortunately no babes flocked to me, and i'm now sitting alone at my house with slow lounge jazz playing pretending i'm cool. Anyway, here's some random stuff, a lot of it probably won't interest you, but in the off chance it will, i thought i would upload it. let me know which (if any) of these sounded good to you.

I've been listening to Dredg, Paatos and Cave In a lot the past few days. Amazing rocky bands. Fair chance you've heard all those, but if not check them out. I've also been listening to a bunch of Dark Ambient (Bloodbox, Vinterriket), and have about 10 CDs sitting next to me i need to explore, but i dont know what's good yet. Arvo Part is still the best thing i've found this year, amazing minimal classical stuff, but i think im just late on finding him. And there's my project: When Day Descends
:)

hi mumblefood thanks so much for uploading that stuff i really like the shpongle sephiroth and arcana stuff a lot. i already actually have aesoprock scelsi giacinto mono and dj assault (so funny) awesome thanks.

i really like depeche mode a lot. i'm not sure i know anything about architecture in helsinki other than that they played with the lilys or something recently.
i'm excited about this thread because i've got all sorts of stuff to look into now. rad. thanks everyone.

same here.

although I liked the william blake one.

I probably would have liked this if it came out then though.

I've been into 13 & God and Autechre a lot lately.

agreed. I can't fault the recording though - the record really SOUNDS killer, but songs and vocals are totally meh.

I think I need that 13 & God album.
