Please stop!

Careful with that statement, King Diamond an lots of BM bands fall in that range. Nor that I care for any of them, but sometimes is dangerous to generalize.
That's very true.
I wouldn't mind it as much if KISS were cranking out (new)records, but it seems that they are rely on their merch, rather than their music...
I slaute TVF for having the patience to stick with the band during the last
4 years. I couldn't.

So I don't judge KISS for their looks but for their attitude, and frankly lately with so many DVDs, boxsets and regalia Iron Maiden is trying really hard to annoy me, as an example (don't shoot me I'm also wearing my full-body armour :p )
Don't worry, I've noticed too :( pity it's all so good you have to buy it! :D

Speak for yourself :p , last Iron Maiden album I bought was "Factor X" and eventually I got rid of it. "Brave New World " was a gift (and a pretty lame comeback for Bruce), and there the story ends. I don't have any live, DVD, boxset or any IM regalia (except for some copied videos).

I have my collection in the Castle reissues format (2 CDs, all B-sides plus "Maiden Japan") of all the albums from the debut up to "No Prayer For The Dying", I have "Fear Of The Dark" in standard original CD pressing, and I preserve my vinyl of NPFTD only because is blood red vinyl  according to Epic (which was the label at the time).

Iron Maiden was my FIRST metal band, the origin of everything, my cratfmakers. But as the years gone by their lost their path IMO, so I prefer to remember then by the never-ending magic of years gone by, a legend carved in stone.

Lost their path? Interesting, considering a lot of complaints that I hear about them are that they're still using the same Steve Harris formula :loco:

And it's The X Factor - brilliant album, don't you forget it!

a) Steve formula is like Greek formula...outdated!
b) Who cares which factor is? Blaze sings on it

its my Favorite Maiden Record :headbang: unfortunately at the moment I dont have the energy to completely express the greatness of X-Factor ... it speaks to me so it doesnt matter what Maidencore fans think of it

I think the album speaks for itself, but since it has been struck dumb by Wyvern's gayness and lyingness :loco: I'll speak for it. I'd say the dark, atmospheric songs and brooding lyrics are a nice, original twist for Maiden, and is nicely complimented by Blaze Bayley's deep, booming voice. Couple that with the classic Maiden formula of an epic with riff after riff strung together, the galloping rhythms, cool air guitaring harmonies and solos and general headbanging goodness, and you're onto a winner. Anyone who disagrees is a fool :p
