Wonder if you can give me some advice,
I got a X3 Live, and im not sure of the best way to use it for recording.
Currently, im taking the 2 direct outs, into 2 in's on my Project Mix I/O.. but im doing XLR out the back of the X3 to XLR on the back of the PMix I/O, i think im doing this wrong maybe, because would that be a line level out of the X3 into a pre-amp in on the PMix I/O ?
Im then recording one amp fully panned left, one amp fully panned right, on 2 seperate tracks in protools, using no cab sim from the X3, but using impulses instead.
I then record one side at once, to make it double tracked (i guess) then i record them again, which makes a total of 4 passes, 2 with one ampsim, 2 with the other ampsim..
