Hey guys just picked up an Ns 2 today cause the gate on the POD X3 ,while good, is just not quite "tight" enough for me - it seems the higher you set the threshold on the pod gate it eats into the gain of the gtr sound which means i need to apply more gain post pod gate - and it doesnt sound as good.

But, when i gave the NS 2 a quick test today - gtr > ns2 > pod (no send/return)
iwas impressed at how it cleaned things up without affecting the tone (much)

any tips for using this with the POD ? should i be using the send/return instead?

Im using it for heavy rhythm and heres my chain >>

ibanez PGM 301 > NS 2 > POD X3 live

the built-in ng in the POD in enough for me...
i´d use like u said ibanez PGM 301 > NS 2 > POD X3 live
send return if it were a pwramp\head

Apparently you don't read HC forums...

It was a joke. A shitty one.

I have no constructive advice for you. If the NS-2 works before the Line6, do it.

I suspect that either your guitar wiring/room wiring is noisy or you use tons of gain. Which and how to correct are too numerous to get into without more info though. If I knew more about the gat e in the XT Live I might actually be useful to you.

no probs mg - been working fine with it now - sounds great listening back to a test i did last night
