I just got a POD X3 recently. I have the left output and right output hooked up to my fireface 3/4 IN (no preamp stage to color the sound).
When I play directly through the pod monitoring through the fireface, it sounds 3D, Wide, how it was supposed to sound but when I go to -record- it, it loses some of its depth. I cant figure this out.
I thought maybe it was the DAW so I tried programs like Sound forge and even Windows sound recorder but the results were pretty much the same. If I posted an audio clip I'd probably be told it 'sounds fine' but there is definitely quality loss or something. Depth is missing for sure. I am just wondering if anyone else has experienced this.
