Pod XT DI Noise

I know the XT DI out is shit, but is it really THIS noisy? There's like a high pitched squeal in there the whole way through. I get this on all DI outs with different guitars.

I do plan to get a dedicated DI, but this is all I have in the meantime. fml

mmm, when my pod xt pro worked well, there wasn´t noise in recorded DI. it´s extrange...
how do you record it? guitar -> pod xt -> usb (pod interface)?
