pop punk/hardcore/metal rough draft

id like to get a better guitar sound going, not exactly sure what i need to fix though. also the pops n cracks from time to time are the vst bass lol. havent got around to tracking real bass yet. and the solo is buried in the mix, forgot about matching it up after i edited the rhythm tracks. ill have to fix that as well.

any constructive criticism appreciated.

Kick is a little too loud and the cymbals are a little too quiet. As for guitars, they sound very "solid-statey" for lack of a better term. For the style of music I think they sound far too scooped and thin. Also, I'd use less gain. Hope this helps!

thats kinda what i was aiming for on guitars though to be honest lol, trying to get a dimebag-ish sound, but playing "happy" music.
