Pop/techno rock

Head Automatica is decent, but Daryl Palumbo is better in Glassjaw and Dan the Automator is better when working with rappers such as Del the Funky Homosapien (Dan and Del were both in The Gorillaz, but were far better in Deltron 3030, a rap / techno album).

I thought this was gonna be about decent techno eg. KMFDM, :wumpscut:, Apoptygma Berserk, I was wrong

Yeah, Kraftwerk counts as techno (although they did start out with pop sensibilities in a kautrock kinda fashion, the plot thickens). Defining "techno" can be as hard as defining metal. There's so many bloody sub-genres of techno that one man's hard house is another's tech-trance. Or something.

But classifying "techno-rock"? Where to begin? Would Panic DHH, The Shizit etc count as techno-rock? Basically big, industrial-metal kinda guitars with everything else being electronic & screamed vokills? Or am I thinking of a different genre or just Ministry?
