Can Someone Explain the Euro Techno Scene?

Ok, I was at a party last night with almost all european college students. There were about 75 people there, maybe 5 americans who were all my good friends. anyway, the techno was on all night, and I had never seen anything like it. Men were grinding men, people were in some strange orgy of weird physical movements that i wouldnt call dancing. We americans were dying laughing when everyone went crazy over the night at the roxbury music.

Is this a common in Europe? I say this as I am spending my whole summer in greece, and well needless to say I woul like to understand just what the hell is going on with the techno. I thought it (techno) was a riot, and I just dont understand it at all. So someone fill me in.

Well thank you, but it isnt nearly as funny as watching 20 french men ride each other, and grind each other, and then do the same thing to the women.

I do like the fact that it seems one can just have flailing body motions and call it techno dancing.
