Get Stupid Dream and Lightbulb Sun next...should pick up Signify and whatever other album I see on the local shelves with my next paycheck. I should really get Recordings just for Buying New Soul (bonus track on LS) and the long version of Even Less (opening track on SD).
Oh my god! In my opinion, Buying New Soul is one of the best songs they've done (and I've got all their albums!)
Signify is probably their best album, a superb mixture of psychedelia and progressive rock. I'd also recommend The Sky Moves Sideways
They definately are a band that leave you thinking "why the hell haven't I heard of these before" the first time you hear them!!

Readin' me posts are ya?
I got Lightbulb & Recordings delivered on Friday (The End mailorder are doing a special deal on those two. They're a great little mailorder, but they should sort out the bugs in the cart). Everyone's been saying how great P.Tree are, etc, and now they've got the Opeth connection I thought I'd give 'em a shot.
I have to say that so far it's not sinking in. I just don't find the music interesting enough to hold my attention. Some of the solos are nice, but the overall feel seems entirely middle of the road. It reminds me of Pink Floyd in places, and I've never managed to see what the fuss was about them either.
Perhaps you have to be a stoner or something?

Recordings is probably the worst album to start with as it is only an outtakes and b-sides album.
Signify is their most accomplished work in my opinion, but hey, Psychedelia isn't for everyone
