I have an EC-1000 (black) with dual EMG-81's in it, I'm thinking about selling it. I hardly ever play it and it's only purpose for the past few months was for eye candy and/or for tracking with (clients only). I personally haven't used it in at least 6 months, but I have kept it maintained (intonation, cleaned, new strings every month or after each use with recording, etc.) this whole time.

Blemishes:

Pickup selector switch cap (little screw on black knobby thing) is gone and there are a few dings here and there. All because of live use. However, everything works perfectly on the guitar. Frets are still in great shape. It looks great still, the dings are not really even noticeable unless you are looking for them up close.

If anyone is curious or interested please let me know. I'm looking for around $500, but I'm willing to negotiate a little since it does have some dings. I guess private message me or reply here, doesn't matter. Comes with a hardshell case that will be brand new (buying tomorrow), the one I have is all scratched up from gigs and shit. I can take pics and post them up if anyone is interested.

The flash makes the back blemishes look at LOT worse than they ACTUALLY are. No joke.

Like I said, it will also include a *brand spankin' new* hardshell case for shipping. Either the ESP one made for the EC series, or an SKB equivalent. Whatever I can find at GC and/or whatever is cheaper :)

I do ship internationally :)

As far as I know USPS changed max-sizes for packages, so shipping a guitar to europe would be around 100$ or more. Then comes customs and taxes ... thats a bit too much for me at the moment. ;)

I already importet two guitars with no problems - by that time, shipping was 60-70 bucks.

That is all true. When I sold my HellRaiser to Black Neon Bob it was +/- $100US to ship it, I forget if he is in Norway or what, but it was definitely in Europe. Plus I think he had to pay extra for customs or something...It's pricey for you guys in Europe, and, to me, is extremely unfair. I know you guys don't get the same opportunities on gear like the US does, and that's fucked up. GEAR EQUALITY WORLDWIDE!!! lol

Really? Customs goes by declared value? I did not know that...very interesting. But then again, if something were to happen to the guitar during shipping and I try to get UPS to cough up the cash to replace/repair it then I'm screwed because I'm trying to get them to replace a $250-300 guitar, even though the one I sent is worth a lot more. But, then again, I can't remember the last thing that showed up on my doorstep from any company that was damaged so...

No, thats definitly NOT TRUE ... at least not in Germany :D

We have to pay customs + taxes for everything declared above 40€. And nearly everything gets controlled over here. That means: No chances to get something through customs with a lower value. And customs are guitar + shipping. That bastards even include the shipping costs - how fucked up is that?

I imported two Schecters from the US and one Burny Les Paul from Japan and it was so worth it :D
The Schecter Tempest Custom costs 800€ over here. I got it taxes and customs included for about 570€. The C1 Elite I bought was even less.

Your EC would be about 730$ for us here (500 guitar + 100 shipping; + 19% taxes + 3-3,5% customs).

Damn.... I shipped a guitar to england once via USPS, it only cost me $35 for the shipping, and I just wrote on the custom form that it was a gift, and from what I understand he didn't have to pay anything(taxes, etc...).....

I feel bad for you guys over there!
