You passed the minimal and the recommended?

I failed the recommended with a 8800 GTS.

With the demo it still runs okay with all settings at medium with no AA, but the better the card the higher framerate you will get thus smoother gameplay obv. So im sure you could play it now but I don't think either of us would put up much of a fight with lets say online play with like 15fps each no doubt haha

8800 GTS will be fine dude

the demo is documented as much less optimized than the retail version.
plus there's been patches, and the community made configs optimize the game to fuckery.
when you get it ill walk you through a bunch of good custom configs

its not the greatest game ever or anything btw
it's b-movie as fuck, badly paced, cheesy, inconsistent, but it's pretty fucking cool for the most part, and the graphics are of course mind numbingly gorgeous
the online sucks aswell james haha. dont even bother. crysis wars (comes with warhead) is decent, but still better games to be wasting your hard earned spare time on

mine passes minimum, and on reccomend it passes everything fine, however my graphics card is a 256 ati radeon X1650 and its saying for reccomended i need a 640 meg graphics card!

Whey you got Crysis! Ive just played the demo of that and it rules. Gonna get the full game asap!

I don't think its that great, just lost my interest after some levels. there are much better games for less money, get the fuck on steam and I'll show you some!

most players are blended by the graphics, don't get me wrong it's a decent title (done by germans ), but hasn't motivated me enough. probably also my pc, but I don't like the gameplay mechanics that much.

I'm quite obsessed with indiegames lately. Plants Vs Zombies, World of Goo, Braid, Eets etc. but they aren't that long as a normal game.

Yeah, I can see Crysis getting boring pretty fast - watch Yahtzee's review, he always delivers the goods

Another game that got highly lauded but I'm kinda "meh" about was Dead Space (pictured in Gareth's desktop ) - I dunno, pretty impressive graphics, decently impressive atmosphere, but I am just so fucking sick of zombies or infestations or any of that crap, both as a plot device and as things to shoot at, and the story I found just kinda dumb, with unexplained elements and overly generic things (I love how people refer to the government as just "the government", like "oh, the government has known about this for years, it was all the government's scheme" talk about generic, it's like the paranoid rantings of some hippie Yahtzee's review for it was hysterical and spot on as well!)

Daemon tools because I can't be bothered with CD's all the times as I like to have some drives mounted and Cubase isn't pirated but I can't be bothered with that dongle shit all the time as I need it on another machine

This is the funny thing ^^ I know a few people who run the pirate dongle emu from H20 even tho they are licensed. Kinda amuses me somehow.

Btw, James with your "recommended settings fail", you would have just failed on video card ram, which is a bullshit fail (that program is out of date).

I think crysis is ok, and graphically nice but gameplay imo sucks ass. I'd rather play bomberman on the snes.
