I just bought a sweet slab of mahogany off eBay that I will be cutting into a JPM-style body shortly. And I'll be cutting a neck soon as well. Gotta love making 'em yourself.

An RG-shaped body, correct, but with different routing. The control cavity is much smaller, resulting in a different positioning of the volume and tone pots. And there's a three-way toggle rather than a five-way switch. Small differences, but still enough to distinguish a JPM from an RG, in my opinion. I can't scrum the $1200 to buy one off eBay; so, I thought I'd make my own. And that slab of mahogany sitting on my desk just looks so sweet!

I can't really say I'd want to play any of the guitars on that page. But Prince is an awfully underrated guitar player.
