I have started to dig deeper into this genre and could always use more.

Anyone got any recs. beyond the obvious?

Post-Punk is a very vague term, it could mean anything from The Human League to Gang Of Four.

Shit like Interpol, Joy Division, The Birthday Party, This Heat. That is the stuff I am talking about, though I am not an expert yet on the genre.

Well if he's into Joy Division, looking into "Moment" would probably be a good idea.

EDIT: I'm sure you've listened to them, but also check out Sonic Youth. Namely, Daydream Nation and Sister.
