How's the Theatre of Tragedy? Isn't that a Goth metal band? I've heard they're similar somewhat to CoF from people.
Older Theatre of Tragedy(s/t,velvet darkness they fear) is slow doom/ death with male death metal vocals and female vocals sung by liv kristine. I would compare it with Within Temptation(enter), My Dying Bride and Draconian.
CoF are gothic, but they are fast have higher raspy vocals and resemble black metal where these bands are doom metal musically with death metal vocals.
