The only person who should try to pull off that hat is the bitch next to him in the blue shirt and throw it in the garbage.

Not anything against Brooks, but anyone I've ever seen in a weird hat like that on the street or in my school was the biggest artsy poseur faggot. The kind of people who try too hard to be quirky because it's cool and hip and the hat just totally helps develop that personality for them. I don't think that is the case for Brooks entirely, but he looks much better without the hat.

Think of it Karen, if you were single and a guy came up to you with a hat like that, wtf would be going on in your head, be honest?

I'm sure you approve of baseball caps though, right?

Why is that, though? Because everyone else wears them? Because they're socially 'accepted'? Because the sports stars on the magazines at the supermarket get photographed in them, and the cultural tastemakers say that's an acceptable archetype?

What's wrong with just wearing a different kind of hat?

For the record, I bought that hat because it was raining, I needed a hat, and it was the closet hat to my arms reach at the Shoe Pavillion I was in at the time. The fact that it wasn't a baseball cap just made it slightly more appealing.

Sometimes a hat is just a hat.

And Joe, I think you need to quit being so goddamned judgmental.

You really don't know me Joe, and since you asked me to be honest, I will tell you, that if it looks good on the guy, I'd probably dig it.
I never liked cookie-cutter pretty boys. I like personality in one's looks and clothes, shows a lot about the person, if again, is being done right.

You need to chill, man. You're trying too hard.

Technically no. I hate it when people wear baseball hats 24/7. It's dumb, but then again, it's not out of the norm culturally. That doesn't make it any better but it does make the following true: With a baseball cap on, maybe 1 out of every 100 people you pass thinks you look like an asshole for wearing it. With whatever the fuck you call that hat, 100/100 think you look like an asshole. Now you might not care, and I don't think you should, but there are certain situations where you will care.

Besides it's not unfair for someone to see someone else wearing a weird hat and judge them, if I saw some guy wearing a cowboy hat or a tophat I'd think they looked stupid. Nothing about them as a person, but I would off the bat think they look retarded, then after talking to them, usually you figure out within a few minutes what it is about them that makes them think wearing that hat is ok.

Wow, move away from the West coast buddy, you got a touch of the anti-establishment fag syndrome. No where in ANYTHING I said referenced what you're talking about, I get your point but you're pulling it out of your ass to make a non-relative argument.

You don't need to justify the hat dude.

Sometimes a gay hat is just a gay hat.
And that was my point. I didn't say YOU were like that, I just said people who weird odd things, specially those kinds of hats, at first glance you think, OK WEIRD HAT I'LL BITE, then you talk to them and they are annoying fucking retards and it all makes sense why they thought it'd be cool to leave the house wearing that. I wouldn't judge you by the hat alone, but 9/10 times after talking to someone wearing a hat like that you begin to see a pattern.

A person's wardrobe is chosen by them as a reflection of their personality.

And Joe, I think you need to quit being so goddamned judgmental.

I'd be more than happy to but, uh, some of you guys judge me all the time unfairly so about less significant things, so if you're gonna wear a stupid fucking hat I have the right to express my opinion towards it.

Wow, tl;dr!

Trying too hard for what? To impress you? Upset you? Make you laugh? Get over yourself

Trying too hard to be 'too kool for school' man. Get over yourself.

 What the fuck do I have to impress any of you for? Honestly why would you think that? I might be a bit obnoxious, at times unintentionally, but I am not a liar, especially online and I don't have anything to prove. I am like Dead Winter, but a twisted version of him. I express my opinions about whatever, whenever, and hope to engage in a convo about it. Unfortunately, and I can admit this, I can be a bit obnoxious, and if the other person encourages this behaviour or even starts it, then I lose any civil filter and let loose. If you interpret this as 'trying too hard to be cool' then cool :)
