Pre-amps and effectunits

hey all (musicians)

as some of you might have read before I have a boogie dual rectumfrier but I'd like to put an extra pre-amp on top of it...(or slave it to the poweramp)
and by time buying a poweramp...
any ideas??
what do you think of ENGL gear?

also I'm playing a ZOOM 8080 multi-effectsprocessor which I'd also like to replace by a racktype FX-processor.any good ones here?
the zoom sounds a little too digital and reduces the output

I would recommend Rocktron for Multi-Effects, the Voodu-Valve is a great Effectunit/preamp and not too expensive...And of course there is the G-Force by T.C. Electronic, but I think it's way to expensive. Just like the Triaxis by Mesa/Boogie

what is the rectumfrier? I've never heard of that model, although I have a Mesa DUAL RECTIFIER which is awesome
