Preamp trouble

I got a peavey rockmaster pre amp a few weeks ago. Everything was fine until later today. I have lost most of the volume. I have checked the power amp with another pre amp and its all fine. When on the clean channel you can hear it farting and crap like its trying to get back to normal.

Anyone have any idea what the problem could be?

Maybe tubes needs replacement?

Well i pulled it apart before pulled the tubes out an put them back in blow some dust out and its working again?
For how long who knows.
