Tyrants and Slaves
You do realize it's all bullshit, I hope.
When I'm at home I regularly watch Jeopardy with my parents. That's it.

If you watch an entire season in about one day (which I did at some point) you really come to realise how utterly formulaic the show is though. I mean you realise that either way, but when you watch lots of it back to back it is even more obvious.
Though shoddy writing aside it is still an entertaining show to watch. If nothing else atleast you get to see Hugh Laurie being awesome.
Also a lot of the cases are actually based on real medical cases. Though I'm sure they get lots of details wrong and obviously most of the cases are ridiculously rare so the day-by-day basis at which House meets these people is obviously not realistic.
Of course the writing is formulaic, writing for any TV show is formulaic. CSI, NCIS, Law and Order, every one of them is formulaic. It's still a good show.
It seems like the writers expend all their energy on House's lines and then just write everyone else as a stereotype playing in a formula. House is such a great character it makes up for it though. If you watch an entire season in about one day (which I did at some point) you really come to realise how utterly formulaic the show is though.
