Pro Tools certification ?

Is it worth it to take classes to get Pro Tools certified ? Would it make a difference at getting a job or should I just study my ass off at home so I can know my shit ? How do get job at studio ¯\(°_o)/¯

dont waste your money, its worth taking the classes if you want to learn but I've never know anyone with a certificate get a job in this business.

i've taken the classes before. You get really good at pro tools really fast. That's the benefit.

I took the first two classes. I did not take it for my resume because I think an employer would rather see what I have done in the field instead of the certifications, but I guess it all depends. The classes were very beneficial though.



And just a stupid plug for VTC, but one of my professors just finished up the Pro Tools 8 tutorial videos. Not sure when they will be up but they should be cool for anyone wanting to watch a crapload of videos about Pro Tools 8...
