Problems with my ENGL

I had the fuse blow in my old Thunder a while back, It was ok after I replaced the fuse though. I was at a rehearsal room at the time. My guess is that its possibly your home/studio electrics spiking. It may be worth investing in a power condutioner/ surge protector/ circuit breaker device. I may be completely wrong though!

My e430 pre also blown two fuses one by one, so I replaced fuse with slightly higher rating (can not find fuse of same rating locally) - everything works fine for a long time.
I think this happened due to electrical spike.

The amp is in my rehearse space as well...

Ok, maybe it's the electricity that's fucked up, but it was just that amps fuse that blew, none of the other amps. And it's been woring fine for a year. Very strange...

The fuse is there to protect the amp from greater damage, so I'd be wary of just replacing it over and over (or even worse, putting a higher-rated one in there). I'm not saying it isn't just the fuse, cuz I'm no expert, but I would really recommend going to your local music store and asking if they know of any amp techs in the area. Don't wanna fry your baby!

replacing a fuse with one with higher rating is the worst you can do!

if a fuse blows there's something wrong in the chain before the fuse... that's why the fuse is there... to protect the amp from a high current that the amp circuit wasn't projected to receive.

if you use a fuse that has a higher rating, you are letting that harmful current go to the amp which is not good. instead of the fuse melt/blow with will melt the guts of the amp. It can happen slowly or gradually it depends of the situation.

I know fuses blowing all the time is annoying but you have to find out whats wrong with you electricity first. that's the problem.

What first comes to mind to me is a short-circuit in your house wiring [maybe] related to improper grounding.

EDIT: when a fuse blows you should replace it with the exact same one.

fuses differ in Amps (current rating) and the curve/time they take to blow/melt.
These are manufacturer specifications and you should not mess with them.

Maybe I`m slightly wrong - voltage is higher: 250V, while in manual: 230V - this is best match that I can find in Russia.
BTW what can mean external - 200mAM, iternal 250mAT (unit has only one fuse)?
I replaced fuse with F250mA250V.
