OK so I know many of you here are planning on attending PPVII. So who are you? Some of this info may be redunant, but I'm also curious about the reasons "why" for those on this forum who ARENT attending. Is it something you consider each year, yet, havent pulled the trigger due to cost, travel, etc...? To relate this back to SX, I may be one of the few still holding out hope that Russell is going to be a surprise guest during Jorn's set. I know Glenn refutes this, but hey we can dream.

I don't go because i generally don't like the bands playing. I could go to atlanta for the festival for a grand total of around 1000 dollars (100 for the pp tix roughly, about 400 for plane tix when i went in 2003, hotel for each night, food, merch, etc.) and it's only 10 bands, most of which i don't want to see. The year i went, i really only wanted to see 3 or 4 of the bands. Why do this when i could travel to the wacken open air festival for double the price and a way better personal experiance? WOA is my fest of choice.

I want to see Circus Maximus. But I can't go, and I'm sad.

I'll be there, but you already knew that.

I go more for the 'family reunion' environment than for the bands; PPUSA is the one time a year that I can see the people that I talk to online every day all in one location, by the hundreds. It's also my one guaranteed annual vacation; some years I get other vacation weekends, some years I don't.

I kinda have to go these days, though, because I'm part of Glenn's crew.

I don't go generally due to costs and school eating my soul. I think once I'm done with school I'll make an attempt to go, as long as there are more than 2 bands I like.

this is my first time going, since i live really close to Atlanta, i couldnt pass it up, especially since Evergrey is headlining.

My friends and I have been wanting to go for the past 3 years... but we never do, because of money constraints. And, to fly from where we are to Atlanta (or even drive, with gas costing as much as it does), it's just not feasible. If Symphony X were to play again, then I think we'd go at the drop of a hat.
