Prog Rock Huddle

I cordially disagree.

Really? Compressed? To me they sound more EXPANSIVE i.e. hearing parts/subtleties I've never noticed before. Believe me. . . If I give it a thumbs up, it must be good.

Thanks guys, looks like I'll get it then. I'll look into the Archive 1969-1974 set as well, thanks for the suggestion.

*Actually it's called GENESIS ARCHIVE 1967-1975. I fucked up.

Am I the only one that CANNOT STAND Emerson, Lake and Palmer? I mean, give me their five best songs and that's pretty much all I need.

I concur, totally over the top..but then again I have difficulties with most of Yes and Genesis' releases :erk:

It's just obligatory to include ELP in a symphonic prog discussion...but yes, they aren't my cup o' java. Besides, like you said, a handfull of songs...including the masterful Tarkus suite, which undeniably DOES rule.

Do you really prefer K.A. over their other albums? Or are you just saying that 21th centrury music sucks? :heh:

btw : reading Miles Davis' autobiography and loving it so far..

I consider them one album really, sorta like Use Your Illusion. They actually wanted to release it as a double I believe but the record company said no.
