Progressive/Djent Mix. Crits needed.

This is my friend`s band.
Took the DI tracks in order to mix something different from phc, so this is my first mix for such type of music.

Well this is hard because i don't know exactly whats wrong with it. The bass could be a bit punchier in my mind, like maybe boost a tad at 100Hz and duck almost a huge bit of the mids (this is where your guitars should be) then boost about 1khz to get those clanks haha. i think the master is missing a bit too,

EQ>Limit>multi Comp (simply master tool)

Some eqing sounds like what you need cause it's very mid rangy so maybe boosting the highs and lows there will too (BUT NOT SUB FREQUENCIES)

I really enjoy the song though, the guitar tones good, but i'd boost a bit of the highs here but try not to get the nasty distortion sound

I don't think boost 100hz on the bass is a good idea. 100hz is occupied by the kick. To get a punchier bass, compression would be the way to go.

I didn't even think about putting that. Lol, I forgot to put that! But I always boost at 100hz about 1-3db. I try to get a holy marriage haha, then i compress it. Depends on what kick. Sample I use and how I eq it.

I finally got to listen closely and the main thing I think needs work is the vocals need to be brought forward. The reverb is too much and makes them sound far away.
